Matt has been a builder since he was a child. He has always had a desire to shape the environment around him, whether it was a variable height tree house built with pulleys and block & tackle or a laboriously crafted ode to Frank Lloyd Wright in the wilds of Wadmalaw Island.

 

This desire to build was refined through formal education at Clemson University where Matt studied Civil Engineering, specializing in structural engineering and construction management. Seeking balance to the technical disciplines, Matt also pursued a minor in English literature to enhance his communication and writing skills as well refining his appreciation for the creative arts.

 

His decades of construction experience managing some of the most spectacular projects in South Carolina, including the South Carolina Governors Mansion and State House as well as many stunning private residences, provide the experience and mastery of design and building craft to ensure a quality building experience.
